Overview
The insight involved an interview with a current Amazon employee over Zoom, as well as a two-hour hackathon on Hackerank where we completed six coding challenges. The top three participants were then awarded prizes. Afterwards, we were given tips on the summer internship application process.
Skills
I developed my programming skills, particularly in interview-style software engineering questions on online platforms such as Hackerank.
Business Insight
I learnt about Amazon's core principles and values, as well as a variety of different roles such as Product Manager and Software Engineer.
Culture
The culture was friendly and welcoming.
Your Impressions
It was enjoyable and I learnt a lot about the variety of roles available at Amazon and it was a good chance to challenge my coding skills.
Yes
Practice coding interview questions in websites such as Hackerank or Leetcode, as the hackathon questions were at a medium level of difficulty.
