Overview
We were tasked with 6 challenges to solve. We could write the code in any language we wanted. I did mine in python because I just learnt it.There was one easy challenge and then rest got harder as you went along. I had 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the challenges.
Skills
I have developed my python skills by participating in this event. I quite enjoyed it as I got to see what kind of challenges there are to solve with code outside of my college course. I know I work well under pressure however because I am still new to coding I did struggle a bit but learnt a lot.
Business Insight
I assume you meant the position offered by amazon to the winner . I think I learned a lot from amazon software developers on what their roles are and I was very interested by it .
Culture
Everyone seemed really friendly and answered all questions that were asked. It made this hackathon a lot easier as I am new to code and was nervous but the atmosphere was very supportive which helped a lot.
Your Impressions
I thought it was brilliant and I would like to do it again when I gain more coding skills.
Yes
I would tell them to go for it. It's a brilliant company with loads of areas to work in. They support women which is clearly shown through this course.
