Overview
We were provided with useful insight into the lives of Amazon employees through an introduction and a panel that consisted of current Software Engineers at the company, and were also given helpful advice about the interview process when applying for internships. The event further included a Hackathon where we were given the opportunity to compete against other participants in a variety of coding challenges.

I have learnt more about the skills and techniques required to perform in an interview when applying for an internship

It gave a useful insight into what life might look like where we to be successful in applying for a role or internship at Amazon
Culture
It was great to hear about the Leadership Principles that Amazon prides themselves on, each of which gives a hint to the prosperous and curious environment that the company seems to foster. The speakers at the insight were also very warm and friendly which again highlights the welcoming atmosphere that is created
