Overview
The Amazon Women of the World Spring Technology Insight Event was a 4.5-hour long online event that included a hackathon and a panel with women in the industry at Amazon, and information about the application process for the 2025 summer internship. It was a very enjoyable event that I highly recommend to other students. I am honoured to have been invited.
Skills
I developed my skills within HackerRank. I am not the most experienced with online hackathons but was able to tackle some of the questions from today's event. It was a very fun experience.
Business Insight
It was greatly insightful to hear from women within Amazon and their journies. I definitely gained more of an understanding of how they got to where they are and what is involved in each of their roles. The leader did a great job explaining the application process with amazing advice.
Culture
It seems very inviting to work at Amazon. Would definitely love a day-in-the-life video next time!
