Overview
The Amazon Women of the World Spring Technology Insight Event is a virtual technology event and mentoring opportunity aimed for Women studying computer science. As part of the event, I participated in an online hackathon and received insights into the work-life of engineers at Amazon. I also received insights on applying for internships at Amazon and will be attending mentoring sessions to improve my application process.
Skills
I developed my coding skills through the hackathon challenge and will be improving various other skills through the mentoring sessions.
Business Insight
It was a great experience and has definitely encouraged me to make future applications to Amazon.
Culture
Amazon seems to have a great work-life balance and interest in promoting diversity and inclusion in the company.
