Overview
The role is split into two main sections. The first is reviews, these are lengthy pieces of work that are almost always going on in the background where we set values for all VWG vehicles. The other side are the bespoke requests, which are more one off style requests from dealers or fleet, where we look into the cases individually through our team inbox
Skills
My data analytics skills have definitely improved in my time here and I now feel far more confident in using different techniques to justify the conclusions I come up with. I feel my communication and leadership skills have improved as well. In terms of learning new skills, the main one will be working with Tableau as well as integrating into other systems as well
Responsibilities
At times, due to changes within the team, I've been the most senior member of the RV team so have shouldered that responsibility. I've helped train the two new team members and have helped their integration into the team. There a few tasks which are undergraduate specific which I have been trusted with
Support & Guidance
There is always good support around. Everyone is happy to talk in the office, or if you drop a teams message the response time is typically very good. The Learning and Development department also offered a lot of workshops for you to try and improve various skills, like presenting etc.
Culture
The culture is generally very good. Everyone in the office is very easy to get along with and will support when necessary. There is a department wide effort to improve the culture with more events beginning to happen now
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot and have learnt a lot of things which will be very useful for my future career
Yes
Be yourself in the recruitment process. The managers will not expect you to know everything about the role before you start, so are more looking at you personally than the ability to do the role
