Overview
The programme included various sessions led by senior DLA Piper lawyers with opportunities for questions and answers. Additionally, there were breakout sessions in smaller groups focused on the experiences of different solicitors at the company. Finally, it also included interactive participatory activities, where participants collaborated under the guidance of DLA Piper lawyers. The programme also included an evening social.
Skills
The insight programme develops your understanding of DLA Piper as a company and also develops your commercial understanding by being given a greater insight into the work that DLA Piper lawyers undertake.
Business Insight
It was really great finding out about the different practice areas and teams working at DLA Piper and their approach to collaboration between offices nationally and abroad. Session also gave a great overview over the next steps to a career at DLA Piper.
Culture
The atmosphere was very friendly and there was a great emphasis on collaboration and working together to achieve desired outcomes.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the Insight Programme to a great extent as it allowed me to gain a great insight into DLA Piper, its work and its culture as well as providing me with a greater understanding of the next steps to a career at DLA Piper.
Yes
It is really important to show one's own skills and personalities but also demonstrate these skills with real-life examples. Emphasis on collaboration and working together efficiently and effectively is also desirable.
