Overview
The day included sessions that helped us understand the priorities, values and behaviours of the company and included insight into what they are looking for during the application process for their roles. The day included a site visit to have a first hand experience of what working in the built environment may include.
Skills
Developed my knowledge of the priorities of the company and how to be successful for upcoming application season for their roles.
Business Insight
The knowledge they gave us during the day was very much easy to understand and later our exactly what the application process would look like for those of us looking to gain a place on any of Mace’s programmes, summer internships, industrial placement years or graduate programmes. Talking to individuals currently on the grad programme helped me see how varied people’s backgrounds can be to get to the programme.
Culture
The company evidently values the working culture, they spoke to us about the different groups of support they have for employees for example pride at mace and women at mace. It was also highlighted that the company values the environment, we were told that ‘every role is a carbon role’.
Your Impressions
Really enjoyed the opportunity, thought that it was a valuable experience and gave me a better understanding of the company and the company culture at Mace.
