Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a lot of responsibility as I was given the freedom to create a SharePoint homepage for the team to utilise on a day to day basis. I was also responsible for helping create the travel budget database which impacted how decisions in the business were made.
Support & Guidance
I was given a mentor who was available to hep and guide me through projects and challenges while on my placement. This support helped me learn the business and my job responsibilities a lot faster. He was also able to teach me information and skills he had developed while working at the business for 10 years.
Culture
Company Culture and general atmosphere was great! All the staff I interacted with were extremely kind and enjoyable to work with. The company looked after me while i was doing my placement.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement thoroughly as I have gained valuable experience that has linked to the course I have been studying at university. The team also tailored the task i was given to ensure i benefited the most out of them. The company and team i worked were a pleasure to work with and socialise with during my year at the business.
Yes
It's a great company with talented employees to work alongside. Even though its an engineering company you won't always need a background in engineering as the company has many jobs in different sectors such as IT, Marketing and Finance.
