Overview
Engaged in real work for three days alongside a trainer in a specific department. Prepared a group presentation which is assessed on the final day. Attended presentations as well everyday to gain an insight into the firm. Also, social events and networking were prominent on most evenings.
Skills
Yes, the winter vacation scheme enhanced my ability to organise as prioritising multiple tasks was essential to succeeding in the work. Also, it developed my commercial awareness and highlighted how important commercial considerations are in all the matters I worked on.
Business Insight
The presentations were truly informative in giving an understanding of how the firm works, and seeing the forward-thinking mindset of the firm and its plans for development was really interesting.
Culture
The atmosphere was so welcoming and this put any nerves at ease immediately. The company culture was professional and friendly which meant it was easy to settle in and get stuck in to the work.
Your Impressions
The vacation scheme was very enjoyable and had a good mix of work and social activities to network with fellow vac schemers and employees at the firm.
