Overview
Each day was spent with my supervisor sat in my specifically allocated department. Would carry out different tasks to learn about the daily workings carried out there. In the evenings different social events were planned so that we could get to know other people within the vacation scheme cohort and also other members of the firm. Talks were arranged with senior partners to hear about their journeys at the firm.
Skills
I learnt a lot about the work carried out by a competition lawyer as well as within the different departments we had talks on. This included learning about international capital market work, banking and corporate. It was great to learn more about the firms up and coming merger with the US firm.
Business Insight
It was great to learn about progression opportunities at the firm. I am so excited to start as a trainee solicitor.
Culture
The firm is the friendliest firm I have ever encountered. I felt so welcome.
