Spring Insight - Tomorrow's Talent Review

The spring week provided invaluable insight into UBS' culture and business. The sessions were informative, engaging, and thoughtfully structured, providing a comprehensive overview of the banking industry and invaluable hands-on experience. Daily activities included exploring the divisions of a global bank and how they connect together, networking with analysts and MDs, attending talks on areas such as sustainable investing, and engaging in both team and individual workshops.

During the week, I honed my networking abilities, gained a deeper understanding of financial markets, and enhanced my teamwork and communication skills through collaborative trading exercises.

UBS offered a comprehensive view of their operations, from front-line positions to strategic management roles. This exposure enabled me to learn about several different divisions I had previously never considered, and has improved my understanding of the business.

The company culture was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. There was a strong emphasis on culture, which is genuinely important to everyone at UBS, as well as fostering relationships and getting to know colleagues across different levels of the business.

I thoroughly enjoyed the insight gained during my spring week at UBS. It was a rewarding experience that not only deepened my understanding of the banking industry but also allowed me to connect with professionals and explore potential career paths. This insight has given me several reasons why UBS or a similar firm would be a fit for me, especially the friendliness of the culture really stood out.
