Overview
A new project starts off with quick Market research to be able to find the most relevant experts to contact. Before sending off experts to the clients we screen them on their knowledge ensuring it is a good fit for this project as well as negotiate their compensation. The day to day tasks vary depending on the amount of active projects and the demands of the clients.
Skills
During my time I have improved my time management strongly as well as being able to prioritise tasks and organise them by urgency. Additionally, my communication skills have developed further being better at adapting to different experts depending on their position and industry. The communication skills are important for good negotiations regarding the compensation.
Responsibilities
At the start of the placement you have a week of intense training which enables you to directly start the work when being at desk. After a while I was able to be the only deliverer on projects, drafting emails to the client, listening to client calls. Additionally, you are the only contact person to the experts you reach out to on the projects.
Support & Guidance
Every starter has a designated trainer who sits next to you on desk enabling shadowing sessions as well as being able to ask questions quickly. With your trainer you have weekly meetings to talk about developments and challenges and monthly meetings with your manager as well. Placement students/ Interns also have a separate mentor to be able to have a close contact person outside of the team.
Culture
Very young and active making it a good place to enter the working world. People are very sociable and welcoming. There are monthly socials as well as after work drinks in the kitchen.
Your Impressions
I really enjoy the different tasks I need to do and the insights I get into different industries. We are working on live market developments which I enjoy to see that we create an impact to our client and helping them along the process. The start of the Internship and the speed of the work has challenged me but enabled me to develop and grow in my work.
Yes
In the application process it is important to be able to be passionate why you want to join as well as have examples for your skills where you have proven these successfully. Additionally show that you are interested in feedback and developing your skills in a fast paced environment.
