Overview
I work in the energy unit in a civil-structural team. I have worked across 2 projects on my placement. I have done a some calculations, report writing, report checking as well as lots of other admin and coordination tasks.
Skills
I have developed project management, report writing, basis of design, and industry specific knowledge
Responsibilities
I was given more responsibility as the placement went on. I wasn't responsible for any technical work but was given lots responsibility for admin/ project management later on. for example organising meetings with a client
Support & Guidance
I felt well supported by my manager during this placement as they went out of their way to help with my development
Culture
I was very happy with the company culture and general atmosphere. It is a welcoming and nice place to work
