Overview
I worked a lot on AutoCAD and a bit on Revit coming towards the end of the year, I was mainly doing design based worked with a bit of calculation work aswell.
Skills
I have furthered my skills on programmes such are Revit and AutoCAD. I have learnt how to communicate better with my team and people in different offices via teams.
Responsibilities
I didn't have much responsibility during my placement year but I did bring it upon myself to make sure I had what work was given to me to be done in a timely matter.
Support & Guidance
My colleagues were very welcoming when I joined the team. They let me ask questions when I didn't understand some work and they would explain everything very well. For the majority of the time my team was in the office which helped with my learning and able to ask questions more frequent.
Culture
Atmosphere in the office was good, they did a lot of social events which helped to get to know people better.
Your Impressions
Overall my placement was good except for the weeks that I didn't have any work to do. There seemed to be a low in this office with work so therefore I wasn't given the best opportunity to get a better understanding of this discipline. With the work I was given did teach me a lot but I wish I had been given work throughout the whole year.

I think Mott MacDonald is a great company as it works on large projects and have offices worldwide which gives you the opportunity to travel
