Overview
Assisting with a range of customer queries- primarily from a supply perspective. This could involve forecasting, chasing deliveries, checking stock, quality issues, order amendments ect. Customer facing role that involves good communication skills and problem solving. I am also involved in several meeting / reports within the company.
Skills
My problem solving and communication skills have increased significantly.
Responsibilities
Yes- responsible for around 80 customers from a supply perspective with accounts ranging in size and strategic significance.
Support & Guidance
I received adequate support, however it was difficult when joining given how much there is to learn. There was very little handover from the individual I replaced, so it involved taking a lot of initiative myself to get the answers and knowledge I needed.
Culture
The overall culture is friendly and welcoming.
Your Impressions
I have enjoyed it a great deal. It was a huge change compared to university, but has helped me become more mature and independent. There are aspects that can be improved, but as a stepping stone towards a career, and industrial placement at Unilever is held in high regard.
Yes
Be confident when applying, and ask plenty of questions. Also ensure you have good knowledge of the company and its history etc.
