Overview
I support, educate, and create strategies for the six Business Units so they can drive profitability globally. One on my projects is to help grow and drive Quick Commerce, the rapid home delivery model. Another project is to drive market reporting accuracy by creating quarterly reports displaying the Home Care Digital Commerce performance. I also lead the Home Care Digital Commerce education platform within Unilever
Skills
I've developed many skills since starting my placement, one being my analytical skills by analysing data from various CMI studies and picking out relevant parts to make informed decisions and translating it into a visual strategy. I've learnt to be a leader whilst leading the Home Care Digital Commerce community as I need to be confident to inspire others, especially as I am at the forefront of this community.
Responsibilities
Yes, I have been given ownership of many tasks and have had the responsibility to lead many projects myself. I have been also able to share my work to various directors which has been a huge opportunity
Support & Guidance
The support I have received from the start has been amazing. My line manager in particular has been super supportive and is always there to help me with any issues I may have and explains everything so clearly. The future careers team is also very helpful for any other external issues I may have
Culture
Unilever is a great place to work, there is always a very positive and upbeat atmosphere in the office. Everyone who works for Unilever is super supportive and always more than happy to help you out when and where needed
Your Impressions
Doing a placement has been the best decision I ever made and I have achieved many things I didn't think were possible this early in my careers. I have developed so many practical skills but also my soft skills and developed so much personally. I feel so much prepared to leave as a graduate now
Yes
Be yourself, they will be able to see through you if you are not. Make sure you explain your love for the company, it is truly a great place to work with so many amazing brands and people
