Overview
As an Information Management placement student, my role is in supporting the development of contractual documents during a projects Tendering phase. This in particular involves Digital Strategies and BIM Execution Plans. Additionally, I am involved in smaller projects which involve data analysis and visualizations. Internal Meeting Client Meetings Project Work Weekly Stand-ups
Skills
I have been able to develop new skills and enhance existing skills as follows: Financial Modelling/ Commercial Skills Stakeholder Engagement Report Writing Data Analysis Data Visualization Strategizing ISO 19650 Agile Working
Responsibilities
I was given extensive amounts responsibilities during my placement with the appropriate support from team and managers. I was challenged numerous times in order to grow and explore different aspects of projects. Responsibility can vary on the projects/ contracts and the scope involved.
Support & Guidance
I was given a lot of guidance and support during my internship from my entire team. I was able to voice my concerns and opinions, and have received good responses. My support during my placement was transparent and on a regular basis.
Culture
It has been consistently a vibrant and positive company culture and atmosphere. The company is keen on personal and professional development of their employees, and support social and sustainable movements.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at Mott MacDonald. I feel lucky and blessed to work with the team I have been working with, as they have supported me with any concerns I had. I was given a variety of work, allowing me to experience different aspects of projects and tailor my skills as required.
