Overview
My role as an Industrial Placement Student within the Foundations and Geotechnics department is to support colleagues on the Scarborough Subway Extension project. My tasks are normally to produce CAD drawings, extract information from FEA and write reports for internal/external submission. I mainly interact with people within the office, but occasionally interact with colleagues around the world.
Skills
Yes, I have learnt some new skills. Some of the skills that I've learnt is to use different types of FEA/CAD software and social interaction skills as I interact with colleagues from around the world. I've also developed many skills, some of which is the use of excel, AutoCAD and report writing.
Responsibilities
