Overview
My role involves working as part of the Rail team on different rail projects, mainly working on the development of new Railway Stations. I mainly work on software and BIM (Building information modelling)
Skills
I have learnt many new skills both soft skills and technical skills. I have learnt technical skills on software and also improved vital soft skills such as Communication, teamwork, leadership, etc.
Responsibilities
I was given quite a lot of responsibility during my internships and I was trusted with a lot of the BIM tasks which related to the Railway Stations.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of guidance during my internship. My team members were always around in the office, so I was always able to ask questions about things I was unsure of.
Culture
The company culture was great. I particularly liked how easy it was to communicate with senior engineers and senior people with the company.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the placement very much and I felt that the company has a lot to offer than just technical work on projects, rather I have had the opportunity to also involve in a lot of extra-curricular activities.
Yes
I would suggest to prepare thoroughly for the application process.
