The Role
It challenging, gave me a good insight into the company and made me feel like I could really fit in there.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. All the offices had an open door policy and everyone was welcoming.
My supervisor gave me great guidance and feedback and taught me that in most circumstances a question can be answered by some research rather than simply asking a question every time you struggle with a concept.
I was given enough work to keep me busy but did not feel that I had to complete it in an unrealistic time.
I was not given any more responsibility other than drafting letters and memos which would represent the department/ firm to others and therefore I had a small degree of responsibility
I learned valuable lessons about how to act in an office and considering the type of law I was looking at over my week placement I gained a huge knowledge of financial commercial law that I may never even touch on at university. It was a great week
The Company
Professional and relaxed.
Very well organised in all aspects
As it was only one week there was little chance for real investment but the experience I gained and the time taken by the firm really helped me to improve as a prospective employee.
Company Parties/Events
I am one of roughly 50 applicants and if I am successful they will give me an interview so I am in a strong position but still have to continue to impress.
The Culture
Yes everyone was very nice
It was fine, Leeds is a great city.
I did not experience the Nightlife as I was commuting from Sheffield but I understand it is very good.
There was a great social event on the wednesday.
