Overview
Through tasks such as setting up screening on Universal platforms, raising POs, researching assets, taking delivery of content for film festivals, and ensuring Content Protection throughout. I have also learned all the internal processes and systems that get a title and trailer from delivery to release to international dubbing and subtitling. Furthermore, my role requires me to support the delivery and user interface of UPCG's 1st happiness and wellbeing app. Therefore covering distribution footprint across theatrical, physical, digital (SVOD and transactional), TV (paid and free) as well as consumer products.
Skills
I have also learned all the internal processes and systems that get a title and trailer from delivery to release to international dubbing and subtitling. Furthermore, my role requires me to support the delivery and user interface of UPCG's 1st happiness and wellbeing app.
Responsibilities
From the beginning of my placement, I joined YPN and GIU as a subscribing member, however from February I have now become a member of both committees. This has allowed me to take the lead on projects and meet like-minded people across the business. For example, I am now involved with planning, minute taking, and the quarterly newsletter for ERG Green Is Universal who are a group of individuals throughout the business who volunteer spread awareness on sustainability within the industry.
Support & Guidance
I have received weekly 1-2-1 with my manager which guides my performance and learning within the role. I also have received monthly intent meeting updates and opportunities to voice any concerns in these meetings. Also an extended x3 week handover period was organised with the previous intern who demo's the work load and software.
Culture
NBCUniversal culture and atmosphere is unmatched, it's so welcoming and uplifting everyone who is hired carries this same energy throughout the building. Everyone is open and ready to help you lear, grow and develop.
