Overview
The role involves checking our third party intermediaries management system and ensuring that we have kept our contract agreements on file and ensure the companies which conduct business on our behalf are properly accounted for. I also screen charities and companies that we collaborate with to ensure there are no reputational concerns from working with them. I also check on our gift and business entertainment requests, to ensure we are not going to be liable for bribery depending on the value of our gifts to potential clients.
Skills
I have learnt new skills in terms of legal research, improved my Excel skills and communication skills by reaching out to new companies and frequently emailing senior members of my team.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was the only intern in my team so I was given a large level of responsibility over my workload.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance from my manager and my mentors during my internship. I felt I was able to approach my mentors and manager a lot when I had doubts or needed career advice.
Culture
The company culture is very open, creative and friendly. The general atmosphere was very typical of a media company!
Your Impressions
I've really enjoyed my time here. My team has been really welcoming, but I think I could at times be pushed more out of my comfort zone. This company is great and it has led me to pursue media law- which is a complete testament to my time here!
Yes
I would tell them to show their passion for film & TV while they are applying- this is the heart and soul of our company! Everyone is a film fan so don't be afraid to let that side of you show.
