Overview
As a trainee, I spent my time at Monkey Kingdom on E4 Made In Chelsea supporting the Production Department both in the office and as a runner on set. Transitioning to CNBC News I worked on the features shows curating research and presenter briefs. More recently at Working Title Films as a runner, I provide office support, set up meetings and on demand support for HODs and executives.
Skills
As a trainee, I have developed greater understanding of software used in the Production Management department and been trusted with great tasks such as the post production delivery of MC Grammar Rap Tales, a Sky Kids Commission. Additionally, my time at CNBC News has taught we wonderful research skills and working to tight turnarounds and deadlines.
Responsibilities
At Monkey Kingdom, I was trusted with a lot of production paperwork which greatly boosted my confidence as an aspiring Production Manager. Similarly, my time at CNBC News was exceptional, as I was trusted with important projects such as COP 28 and the World Economic forum - researching guests and providing detailed briefs for presenters.
Support & Guidance
There were wonderful events and employee groups to greater boost my interpersonal skills and build a lovely network. Additionally, our recruiters remained in touch all throughout our internship, HR alike, which was very comforting to know there was someone always there.
Culture
Very vibrant and inclusive! Always something to do and get involved in at NBC and felt involved in the wider company

Yes
Research research research! Talk to previous and current interns and employees to learn about the company and understand the application process. Also make sure you watch Universal films and TV, don't forget that!
