    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I’ve managed my own section, in Boyswear's license department. I review samples during fit sessions with buyers to ensure correct fit and compliance. I send feedback to suppliers, who adjust production based on my guidance, to ensure the best fit for the customer. I have also helped to standardise new product shapes, cargo pocket sizes and have overall helped to improve the fit across the boyswear department. I have also covered directly for my manager when she has been travelling with most of the buyers coming to me for fits and information regarding products.

  • 7. Would you recommend Primark to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Primark
  • I would just recommend people to be themselves, be confident and you will fit right in. I was shy when I first joined as naturally you would be, but I feel it took me a while to really come out of my shell. Partly this was due to being much younger than the rest of my team, which I have found difficult at times as we struggle to find things in common that aren't work. The rest of the placement students have been great and I have made plenty of friends so you need not worry about not making friends.
