    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The insight was really enjoyable and an eye opener into PwC and the financial realm. Each day consisted on introductory/catch up talks with members in the Tax sector, who explained their roles, their origin & how the got into PwC. Additionally, I was able to attend meetings & follow ups on PwC’s letter to the IA on suggestions on how to improve factors such as the gender pay gap

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have strengthened & gained many transferable skills, as well as financially specific skills. Coming from a biomedical science background, skills such as critical thinking and strong evaluative skills are required, and the insight week really enhanced them. Additionally, I learnt many financial terms and how PwC operates & builds strong relations which clients interpersonally, which I have been able to gain
