Overview
My role includes the recruitment and management of summer placement students. I also manage our attraction, this means I set our strategy and negotitate with job boards the best packages for our strategy. I then manage these relationships and ensure that we have more targeted attraction for our hard to recruit areas.
Skills
Yes I have learnt how to present, developed my confidence, excel skills, team work, communication, delivering through others, and many more
Responsibilities
Yes so much, it doesn't feel like a placement it feels like a full time job and i am valued as a team member
Support & Guidance
Lots, my line manager is always there to help as well as my team, i also have support from my director and also the community of IPs in the business.
Culture
It is really friendly, everyone is there to lend a helping hand and there is really a culture of no question is a silly question, even the directors are willing to sit with you if you have questions and everyone really makes time for you no matter your job title or their job title
Your Impressions
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement, I have found it valuable and insightful and i hope to come back to Unilever. I would recommend a placement year at Unilever to anyone who is looking for one, it really is a great way to get industry experience and working for an FMCG is so fun
Yes
Do your research before the assessment centre, anything you talk about apply to Unilever and real world problems. Also just be yourself, Unilever really is interested in real people who are invested in them, we want to invest back into you as well so make sure its right for you too, its okay if it isnt
