Overview
As part of the Europe, Middle East and Africa regional wellness team I worked towards the delivery of Hilton's global wellness strategy to Spas across the region. The role is mostly project based, with no two days being the same, and often requires you to represent Hilton at industry events alongside supportive mangers.
Skills
I have progressed my corporate communication, software, presentation and social skillsets. But by immersing yourself in Hilton's culture you will not only develop yourself as a professional, but also as a person. I am a more self assured, competent, and intelligent person thanks to this internship.
Responsibilities
During my placement I was made to feel like part of the regional wellness team. As I grew in confidence managers supported me as I completed my own research, assisted their projects and delivered presentations on their behalf.
Support & Guidance
At Hilton there is an understanding that professionals cannot complete their best work if they do not feel supported and fulfilled. As part of the internship you will have regular check ins with the intern project lead, chances to socialize with the wider office, and enjoy several mental health touchpoints throughout your employee experience.
Culture
Hilton's company culture is refreshingly welcoming. Interns are encouraged to get involved with Team Member Resource Groups who support the wider team. The office is also built to promote employee engagement, as there are serval refurbished and stocked kitchens, a mental health timeout room, and plants throughout the office.
Your Impressions
My time with Hilton was filled with fulfilling work and incredible social opportunities. I have been able to travel more because of their team member benefits, attend themed office socials, and utilize the gym and massage therapy room they have on site.
