Overview
Generally, the day starts with a stand-up meeting to update yourself and the team. I also tell the team what I will be working with today. Then, I would try to help the team or resolve the assigned issues myself. In short, my role is generally to support the team as much as I can while actively learning about the product I am working with.
Skills
Hard skills: - Kubernetes - C# (.NET) - Cobra (GO) - Software development process - Debugging Soft skills: - Communication - Planning - Researching
Responsibilities
Yes and no. The product I was working with is quite challenging to work with, so I have limited ability to assist the team. However, the team will assign me tasks that I can handle once I have more knowledge about the product. I can acquire this knowledge on my own or with the help of my teammates
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support. For example, I will be required to attend a one-on-one meeting to review my progress, career choices, and feedback on my internship.
Culture
People in this company are very warm-hearted, reasonable, and kind, as someone without much industry experience. Most of the people I met in the company were glad to take some of their time to teach or give advice to ensure I gained the appropriate understanding of the problem I was having.
Your Impressions
Even though it is quite a rough start for me, as time progresses, I get to enjoy working here more as I get used to the workflow and the product. Thus, I would say that I quite enjoy this internship.

Advice for software engineer: For technical side, I have nothing much to tell other than prepare yourself (algorithm, design pattern, and other general knowledge about programming in general) For soft skill side, be honest and do a bit of research of company, and see if you are interested in any product developed by Redgate.
