Overview
I helped manage the all of the projects under one automotive account. This meant forecasting and invoicing the financials, managing the onboarding and offboarding, delivering client workshops and much more.
Skills
My ExCel and powerpoint skills have improved massively. As have my soft skills such as time management, communication and confidence in presenting. Technical skills have improved the most tho, by using IBM's YourLearning platform to take multiple course on gen AI.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of autonomy and responsibility. Throughout the year I was given more as I proved that I could cope with it and that I deserved it. IBM are great at empowering you and giving you great opportunities.
Support & Guidance
I received plenty of support and guidance throughout. This even came from very senior stakeholders. Everyone from my experience seemed to be very willing and generous with their time, always reaching out to see how you are and if you need any help.
Culture
Amazing culture. Super innovative, inclusive, forward thinking and importantly friendly. You also got the sense that you are surrounded by like minded people who are striving for change and solving some of our clients biggest problems.
Your Impressions
I loved my placement. Amazing experiences working on awesome projects with inspiring colleagues.
Yes
Do some reading about what IBM are up to. I recommend looking at the institute for business value and a CEO's guide to gen AI. Demonstrate on your application why you're excited by IBM and the work they do.
