Overview
I work in Customer Marketing for Middle Eastern Europe region. My job role is heavily events focused, all being customer facing events. For these events i work on content creation and the promotion behind these events.
Skills
I have enhanced time management skills, including organisational skills, working in a team has meant that i have increased my confidence in communication but also, individually coming up with new ideas and creativity. I developed the attention to detail skill a lot when working on editing and designing websites.
Responsibilities
The amount of responsibility shocked me! You really aren't seen as “just an intern” and you get so many opportunities and responsibilities within your role. An example: i got to attend a few customer facing events - one of these i attended by myself without my manager in Switzerland and another i contributed event i had an idea for, i pitched it to the team, and they let me organise it and execute it and i even got to watch it be a success at the event in Germany.
Support & Guidance
Theres so many people you can reach out to if you need support. You get assigned a buddy, who can support you and who you can ask any questions to about your role or the placement year. The placement team are fantastic and are there to answer or support anything you need. The intern cohort community is a huge support as well and i definitely felt i had a wide network to connect or ask for support!
Culture
Company culture is my favourite thing about SAP. Everyone at SAP is friendly, very supportive and welcoming. The atmosphere of the office is always very positive.
Your Impressions
I couldn’t have asked for a better placement experience. Honestly had such an amazing time, working with amazing people. Loved every part of it.
Yes
Be yourself. SAP is a complex company, you don’t need to know the ins and outs of the company but, a positive outlook and determine attitude is required.
