Overview
Writing company wide emails and newsletters. Analysing media trends and topics and deciding our top stories each week. Creating impact reports for employees to see the impact our team is having in the media. Helping with the logistics and organisations of events. Writing LinkedIn posts for executive employees. Publishing press releases on the SAP news centre. Updating and making multiple SharePoint sites
Skills
Used platforms that are new to me such as CommsHub, SignalAI, and SharePoint. My corporate writing skills have improved, as has my editorial skills, including attention to detail. Learning how to network. Learnt how to analyse media and spot trends.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a lot of responsibility to lead on things but am always offered help and guidance where needed. My manager will also proof anything before it goes out company wide so I don’t need to worry about making a huge mistake.
Support & Guidance
Being part of a small team really benefited me as I was able to talk to my manager every day and go to him whenever I had a question or needed guidance. I would set up 1-2-1s whenever I wanted more formal feedback
Culture
SAP treats employees, especially interns, really well. There is a free gym and lunch on site. Hybrid working allows more freedom. Generally happy office atmosphere and culture
