  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Refreshing a data report that is posted to the sales team each day and used for forecasting calls every Tuesday and Wednesday. Updating deals in Harmony and keeping them in line with the information we have gathered from SAEs.

  • Skills I have developed are time management, organisation, confidence, presenting, IT skills especially Excel, independence, communication, self-awareness, interview/assessment days, networking, balancing a hybrid work style by working from home and commuting to the office

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes - especially being the driver of calls such as sharing my screen on forecast calls and getting permission to change deals with values over 1 million euros. Covering for team members who may be out of office, directly speaking to SAEs to complete tasks and taking initiative to make sure they have been done

  • The placement team were extremely helpful throughout the full onboarding experience, giving us information on all aspects of approaching a role like this in such a large company. The previous intern also also gave me a lot of help in all the tasks we had to complete.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I have really enjoyed my placement, it has taught me a lot of life lessons and given me skills that I would not have gained from university alone, therefore not setting me up properly for work after university. My team have taught me how to act professionally and how to act/approach in an office environment

  • I would definitely put a lot of effort into researching the roles as they sometimes come across as quite general on rate my placement such as business operations, be yourself as much as possible
