The Role
I enjoyed being given responsibility right from the offset and felt like I contributed within the team. It was great to have a year out working for a fast paced, interesting industry.
I felt highly valued as a team member, and will miss everyone I have worked with this last year. I have received encouraging feedback and they have all been very supportive throughout.
They were always there for support, but often had to use initiative talking directly with clients.
The workload would get busier nearer to the release - especially of bigger film titles, but having 3 managers ensured that there was always work to do. There were times that I was less busy - but you would anticipate what needs to be done next, to spread the workload.
The role developed throughout the year, and by the end of the placement I was liaising directly with brand partners, and have campaigns that I have dealt with independently.
We have had so many training opportunities this year, and this placement has been invaluable for gaining life long skills - it has been great working with lots of different partners.
The Company
Open plan office - great, fun work environment - easy to have a joke but still get the work done.
Very organized. Everything ran seamlessly.
Plenty of training courses taken throughout the year, and the opportunity to visit the media agencies we work with on a day to day basis. Several PPRs to track my development throughout the year.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
No graduate scheme in place, but you make a lot of great contacts throughout the year that could refer you/offer you one. You can leave your name on the system, to be made aware of any opportunities within the company.
The Culture
We had a great handover week to get to know the other interns. I also lived in a house with 5 others working at WB, as we wanted to make the most of the year. Around 30-40 interns in total.
Definitely a great social scene, and there is always something to do in London. Also went to a charity comedy night at WB. Quite costly on nights out would be the only downside.
Always somewhere to go.
