    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Assisting in the close of deals exceeding £1 million, for the UK and Ireland markets. Following the end - to - end process of deals, advising sales teams on how to structure and set up quotes. I work with the market unit CFO and COO to obtain signatures for contracts, ensuring all deals are sent to booking working to strict quarterly deadlines.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have had the opportunity to develop a number of skills during my placement. One that I would highlight is my presentation skills, hosting a commercial enablement session to the sales team, with a 10 minute presentation allocation around Best Practice for DocuSign usage. This has improved my confidence around presenting and communicating in a high pressure environment, giving me valuable hands-on experience presenting within a business setting.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given responsibility to perform my intern role, but also had opportunities to expand above this. I learned how to review quotes and taking the lead, advising on a deal during Q4. It is a testament to the great opportunities and support provided by my team, alongside my dedication and passion to learn.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I had a great support system during my placement, not only from the Placements Team but also from my own team. I had the opportunity to have weekly 1-2-1’s with my allocated ‘buddy’ where I was able to bring up any problems I was facing or development areas I wanted to achieve.
