    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • On a day to day basis, I interview and recruit potential candidates, help them with the onboarding process, liase directly with Universities regarding their specific needs and check in with students to gain an understanding about how their support is going on.

  • The main skill that I have developed is my communication and interpersonal skills. Having to communicate with a variety of different stakeholders has been beneficial and I now think that I would be more comfortable and confident communicating my opinions/ideas in any future role that I have.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility within the first few months of my placement. At first this was daunting and challenging, however I believe it was integral to my growth and development as a professional. It taught me how to be more organized and how to manage my time more efficiently

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I was given a lot of support and guidance the whole way throughout my placement. my managers were always on hand if I needed support and I had weekly 1-1s to discuss any issues I was having.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The culture at Randstad has been amazing. I have made friends for life and I never dreaded having to go into the office! We had quarterly team bonding sessions which I believe contributed to the positive and supporting culture that Randstad inherits.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I have really enjoyed my time at Randstad and I am sad to leave! I think it has been the perfect company for me to find my feet within the corporate world and I believe that not only have I developed professionally but as an individual aswell. As I mentioned previously, I have made friends for life and I have now gained an extensive skillset which I can carry to future roles.

  • Get stuck in! Don't be afraid to ask for help and communicate this with your managers as they will always be there to help. Be prepared to work hard to try and meet your targets as the rewards are very generous!
