Overview
My role was a general recruitment consultant type of role, resourcing and interviewing candidates and putting them through a registration process to put them out to work. We would post job ads, and use job boards mainly to source candidates.
Skills
My communication skills have developed significantly, general sales skills have improved, become more comfortable working with teams.
Responsibilities
We (the placement students) were the only consultants in the branch. We had managers and Client Solution Partner's but all the candidates and GP streamed from us.
Support & Guidance
Mixed - in some aspects there was a lot, in others not so much. Felt like a lot of work was delegated to us as easy labour.
Culture
Very good culture, our office was isolated from busy branches so we rarely got to experience it.
Your Impressions
Began to become very repetitive, probably won't pursue a career in this but I've enjoted certain parts of the year.
Yes
Discuss a set commission structure before accepting the role.
