  • My daily tasks vary depending on our stage in the recruitment process. They can include anything from communicating with hiring teams and screening candidates to inviting candidates to online assessments, sending out contract requests, and scheduling interviews.

  • My organisational skills, as well as my time management, have significantly improved which is important for handling multiple roles and ensuring a smooth recruitment process that provides candidates with a positive experience. Additionally, I've learned skills in handling recruitment systems.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given significant responsibility by taking full control as the recruiter for certain roles. This opportunity allowed me to work independently and strengthened my confidence skills which demonstrated the trust my team has in me to manage various recruitment processes.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received lots of support and guidance whether that was through my line manager or the wider recruitment team and everyone was willing to help and answer any questions I had. Additionally, everyone else in the wider business were welcoming and we were encouraged to ask questions.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Hilton's company culture and atmosphere is incredible and we were recently ranked as the World's Best Workplace. We have an onsite gym for team members to use, regular fitness classes as well as a Thrive room for mental health and wellbeing. There were lots of events and great opportunities to socialise with other team members which allowed me to interact with other departments.

  • I really enjoyed my placement here as I felt like a valued member of the team rather than just an intern. I had the opportunity to get involved in various projects and my overall experience exceeded my expectations.
