Overview
My role is to handle invoicing queries for the support we provide. This involves scouring the query sheet and seeing why the invoices have been rejected by the funding body. Finding out what the reason and then resolving said invoice/invoices and getting them paid.
Skills
Understanding how finance works and how to leverage debt. Better excel skills to make my work for efficient and less strenuous on my wrists. Communication as I need to get into contact with different stakeholders to resolves queries.
Responsibilities
I was given a good amount of responsibility when it comes to handling invoices. The company understands my role is to interject when necessary to resolve invoices and to prevent invoices affecting the profit margins. Additionally, my manager checks in often to see how I am doing and has been a great help in getting comfortable and resolving invoices where the solution is quite uncommon.
