Overview
SEAC scientist, working on membrane water partitioning, work ranges from the operation of analytical equipment such as LC-MS/MS to the preparation of samples as well as experiment planning, literature research and communication of results.
Skills
Developed new and existing skills including the following: Research and method development Targeted Literature review Training in the use of LC-MS/MS Sample preparation techniques Biochemistry, Physico chemistry techniques Data generation and analysis Regular communication of results within a team Report writing, planning Familiarisation in local quality system
Responsibilities
I undertook my own project which consisted of me planning and carrying experiments based on literature review , with support from the people in my team
Support & Guidance
Working environment is great everyone in the team is friendly and open for conversation, allocated line manger was very in the loop with my project and other work colleagues helped within the lab and experimentation
Culture
General atmosphere was very chill, easy to work in around others with flexibility with agile working
Your Impressions
My placement will be valuable for my future career , with lots of skills acquired which can be applied for my final year of study, good social atmosphere which allowed me to enjoy living in an area I had never been to before
