Overview
My job title was a Communications and Engagement Intern, and I supported three key functions: Public Relations and Communications, Retail Training and Sustainability and Responsibility. Public relations and communications included supporting PR activity such as writing press releases, briefing, reporting, co-ordinating agencies, and keeping communications tools up to date. I also supported the organisation of key industry events such as the Tax-Free World Association (TFWA) Cannes and Singapore. Furthermore, I co-managed the Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail Instagram @pernodricardtravel creating and delivering impactful posts whilst driving engagement. My Sustainability and Responsibility (S&R) role involved supporting the S&R lead in creating presentations to showcase how Pernod Ricard could support retailers in their sustainable transformation. I utilised internal communications to increase employee awareness of Pernod Ricard’s Global Travel Retail S&R projects. Finally, I supported the S&R lead in the organisation of global employee community action day. The final part of my role was supporting Retail Training communications. I created e-learning posts and news banners with clear call to actions according to projects found on our global calendar. I coordinated new product information upload to the award-winning e-learning app called Up&Up. This was to support frontline staff in duty free stores.
