Overview
On a day to day basis I support a variety of teams as well as lead on a few of my own tasks. On top of this I support the culture team as well as volunteer for a charity called SPARK mentoring young kids.
Skills
Absolutely! The amount of personal and professional growth I've had is crazy. I have really improved my excel skills as well as communication, networking, time management, leadership and motivation.
Responsibilities
The amount of responsibility you are given will always depend on who your manager is and the work currently going on. Majority of the time in my experience I was a support function however I do know other people who were able to lead on a few projects.
Support & Guidance
I received consent support and guidance form managers, team members, fellow IPs as well as graduates. There are a number a number of opportunities for coaching and mentoring as well as regular check ins with your manager and early talent leads.
Culture
Incredible. GSK has culture pinned as one of its key pillars and that is clear when you work here. They culture of being ambitious for patients spreads broadly throughout the entire company in every department. Everyone contributes to this same goal. General atmosphere is very positive.
Your Impressions
Massively. Of course there are some days more interesting than others but there's always stuff to do and overall I have really enjoyed myself. I think it really depends on the attitude you bring and the goals you set yourself.
Yes
Do it. Have an attitude to learn and go above and beyond in your role to succeed.
