  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • In my role, responsibilities include running social media campaigns, recording and creating video podcasts, working with sustainability experts to create blog posts, running events with clients and partners, running user groups, enablement of skills across the partner base, working with the sales and technical sales team to follow up leads, using LinkedIn to enhance a partner go to market campaigns, creating offering newsletters which are sent monthly to clients and partners. This list is not exhaustive, therefore I can tailor my role to whatever I want to, and also explore/create new opportunities by myself. I will be supporting all Arrow partners in generating leads and facilitating the deals in alignment with the Brand Partner Specialists. I also need to support the business cadence process with the Sustainability Management Team, thus supporting the organisation of the IBM Sustainability Business.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

My core team answered any questions I had, and also guided me through ever step of the way. Later, after a few months, I gained the skills needed to be an independent thinker and was also given more autonomy, something which wouldnt have been possible without the initial support and guidance.
