Overview
Administrative support (booking meetings, following up on emails, document updates, process updates, documentation and tracking). Communication planning and execution -> Manage internal webpages including generating content; Managing and maintaining the communication plan for Safety Team workplace posts
Skills
I've developed my MS Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word. I've developed my soft skills, such as networking, professional communication and presenting, and I've also developed my time management skills. New skills include intranet/website management.
Responsibilities
Yes, my team trusted me a lot and left me to my own devices when it came to doing work or coming up with alternative solutions.
Support & Guidance
I had a handover document, a week of handover from my previous IP and my team was very approachable - mainly my manager.
Culture
It's really positive, accepting and welcoming. I felt comfortable enough to be myself and present how I wanted to.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement. It wasn't too challenging for me because I'm an overachiever, but it was a nice reprieve from university and it took my out of my comfort zone.
