    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My day consists of managing stakeholder requests for global website and some market websites to ensure update and recent content is shown to our viewers. I also attend meetings to understand a request from a stakeholder as well as meetings updating and informing other team members on projects I'm on. Within my role I am the content author for GSK.com's content and am a super user on the CMS Umbraco.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • The perfect amount. It started with the old placement student giving me a firm amount of handover and knowledge before she left. From there my manager is supportive throughout with any questions I may have throughout the week on my week, but also having a weekly 1:1 where we have check in and discuss what is going on and also my energy levels. Also, my team and wider team are super enthusiastic and encouraging to me and with this are there for guidance and support when I need it.

  • Yes

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to GSK
  • Firstly, be yourself. GSK wants you to show who you truly are in interviews, this including any hobbies or interests that even may not seem overly relevant in the interview but could link to a certain skill in a job role. Everyone is friendly and supportive so try not get too het up before as everyone interviewing is just their to encourage to and hear more what you can bring to the job.
