Overview
My job role during my placement year is a Human Resources and Business Management Coordinator. I supported the team, in particular the transition and engagement managers in the process of bringing new employees into the company (on-boarding) through acquisitions or outsourcing. But also exiting employees from IBM through outbound deals known as off-boarding. There were some administrative duties and opportunities to accompany the Transition Managers to client(s) sites to meet with employees, client HR and engage in the consultation process.

Support & Guidance
During my placement year I had 2 managers who supported me throughout the year. One manager was role based, this was really helpful to have from a day-to-day basis. My second manager was supportive in terms of any personal/professional development. My team were also hugely supportive during my year.
Culture
Great. Everyone in IBM is so helpful and welcoming.
