Overview
I support the quarterly budgeting process, with the aim to manage forecasting, planning and reporting of the marketing budget. I work closely with teams across EMEA, APAC and Japan to ensure they are all on point with inputting data as well as spending budget across the quarter. I work heavily with budgeting software's like Power BI and Excel to make the data interpretable for the teams and the senior leaders of strategic decisions.
Skills
I have learned from scratch how to use Excel and Power BI. I now am an expert with these software's. I have also learned how to present effectively and work with a professional attitude.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility. My manager certainly pushed me, and as a result I feel highly competent with autonomous tasks and bringing novel process improvements to my organization. I feel many of my projects have created lasting change, I feel wholly responsible for the impact within my role.
Support & Guidance
A lot of guidance. My manager has been invaluable and I felt like the university talent team within Adobe facilitated a lot of peripheral learning outside of my day to day role. I felt I had a lot of support from the teams I work with, and there was a strong culture where everyone supports everyone.
Culture
10/10. I cannot fault the culture and atmosphere whatsoever. I enjoyed coming into the office and seeing my team. The events for interns and employees spared no expense and I felt highly valued.
Your Impressions
To the maximum extent. I wouldn't swap it for anything and I firmly believe that I was lucky enough to attend one of, if not the top, intern placement role in the UK.
Yes
It is all about marketing your drive to work and your passion for the company. Adobe is value driven, so make sure you align to those in your application and personal standpoint. As a Uni student you have no experience, so it is about expressing your drive to learn and deliver impact in a company you are passionate about.
