The Role
The Company
A lot of people in the office have worked in the organisation for many years, all know each other and are happy to have a chat.
Have a two week handover period with the person you're replacing to help get up to speed. Assigned a mentor who you go to if any problems arise, and have monthly meetings with just as a check up that everythings going okay.
You are allowed a couple of training hours per week and are given access to a large online education centre. This includes free subscription to Rosetta Stone during your time here.

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Large diversity in departments within the organisation with most taking on young people.
The Culture
A very large intake of placement students across a number of sites that are all located nearby makes for a very good social scene. Only problem is there's not a big range in Nightlife options.
Train running through town with multiple stops a key points is a cheap way to travel. But overall its no cheaper than anywhere else.
Limited choice. The Nightlife available was good, just a shame there wasn't more of it.
Both people from the office as well as others on placement offer up plenty of things to get involved in, primarily sports.
