Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a lot of autonomy to dictate how my role grew over the months. This directionally enabled me to identify the areas of Marketing that I was particularly interested in as a whole and also helped me manage the growth and skills acquisition process as I became more confident in my role.
Support & Guidance
We have access to intern allies , who are people in the business that can offer mentorship to us interns. We also have Adobe buddies which is a member of our team who takes us under their wing to guide us during our internship. Our managers also helped us a lot if we needed any sort of direction or guidance across any project
Culture
As our company has grown through lots of acquisitions, it is hard to identify a distinct culture but i can say that it is an environment where you can show up however confidently you would love to present yourself. Also as it has a hybrid working model you do have the flexibility of being in when necessary which provided a work/life balance.
Your Impressions
I have grown a lot both professionally and personally which i am grateful for. I have most definitely identified that marketing is a career i would love to pursue. However, I have also noticed that i am more inclined to the creative bits of marketing rather than the data heavy side of it which i would not have been able to identify had i not done this placement. I do think we have the best internship programme.
Yes
- Do a lot of research into the area that you are interested in applying for - Be yourself during the interview process; the company values authenticity - You do not need to be 100% qualified for what you want to apply for as long as you are coachable most things can be taught so don't shy away - Showcase your skills and interests in your application too - Believe in yourself
