  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Planning and developing a Weekly Specialbuy Leaflet, making proactive recommendations for content creation, then delivering on these. I also manage our agency partners to ensure the leaflet is delivered to a high standard and within budget. Communciate closely with buying to ensure our activity is aligned with the Specialbuys programme

  • Yes, at Aldi you are given real responsible. I was fortunate enough to deliver Aldi's first ever interactive Garden Lookbook which promoted all upcoming Garden Specialbuy's, this further developed my leadership skills and developed my knowledge of the digital world.

  • My direct leader and the team I worked within supported me lots throughout my placement, I was able to turn to them for help and I never felt afraid to ask a question.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • It is very corporate and there is a very clear hierarchy across the whole business. Within the marketing team the work culture is really refreshing and motivating to work amongst.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I really enjoyed my placement, sometimes it felt quite respective but I was really thrown into the deep and given lots of responsibility. Aldi have very high expectations and expect the standard of work to be to a high quality which can sometimes be overwhelming with this being my first corporate job. They encourage you to take every opportunity so my placement has been really positive.

  • If you are looking for a fast paced working environment this would really suit you. You have to be a confident person that seeks to learn and do well. Really immerse yourself within the work and take every opportunity that is presented to you.
